Resize a photo in three steps

Choose an image, enter the width or height in pixels, then Resize image. Keep original proportions is on by default: changing one dimension updates the other to avoid stretching. Review the preview and dimensions, then download a new copy.

Exact dimensions or a quick preset

The width presets set the image to 1080, 800 or 400 pixels wide and preserve the original shape. Original size restores the source dimensions. If a form requires an exact width and height, turn off Keep original proportions and enter both. This stretches the image; it does not crop it.

File type and quality

PNG keeps transparency and uses lossless encoding, so the quality slider has no effect. JPG uses the chosen quality and replaces transparency with white. WebP keeps transparency and uses the quality slider. Enlarging a photo cannot recover detail that was not in the original. For a smaller file rather than specific dimensions, try Image Compressor.

What is supported

The tool opens images your browser can decode, including common JPG, PNG and WebP files. It exports one still image and does not preserve animation or original metadata. Files are limited to 25 MB, decoded images to 40 million pixels, and output to 16 million pixels. Unsupported encoders produce a clear error instead of a mislabeled download.

Frequently asked questions

Is my photo uploaded?

No. Your browser reads, redraws and exports the image locally. The file is not sent to a processing server.

Can I process several images at once?

This version works with one image at a time, so you can inspect the result before downloading it. Choose another image to start again.
