Age Calculator
Find an age down to the day. Pick a birth date and calculate for today, or choose another date.
How to calculate an exact age
Enter the date of birth and the date you want to calculate for. The second date defaults to today on your device. Calculate shows completed years, then calendar months, then remaining days. You also get the total elapsed days and the number of days until the next birthday.
Why calendar months matter
Dividing a day count by 365 does not give an exact calendar age. Years can have 365 or 366 days and months vary in length. This calculator advances the birth date by whole years and months before counting the remaining days. For dates near a month’s end, it uses the last valid day of the destination month.
A simple example
Someone born on 15 January 2000 is 25 years, 1 month and 5 days old on 20 February 2025. To calculate a future age, change the calculation date. To measure the duration between arbitrary dates without a calendar-age breakdown, use the date calculator.
Frequently asked questions
How are leap-day birthdays handled?
For a 29 February birthday, this calculator treats 28 February as the anniversary in a non-leap year. Different institutions may use different conventions, so check the rule if you need an official eligibility date.
Is my birth date saved?
No. Dates are used in the browser tab only, and are not included in the saved-tool or recently-used lists.
