Units that look similar can differ
A US gallon is 3.785411784 liters; an imperial gallon is 4.54609 liters. The cup here is the US customary cup, about 236.588 mL, rather than a 250 mL metric cup. Ounces under Weight measure mass, while US fluid ounces under Volume measure volume. The calculator does not convert between mass and volume because that requires the material’s density.
